Marcel, a 1-inch-tall shell, lives with his grandmother, Connie, the only residents of their town after their neighbors' sudden, mysterious disappearance. When discovered by a guest amongst the clutter of his Airbnb, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans and a new hope of reuniting with his long-lost family.

The Hobnobben Film Festival will hold a launch party for its 2022 film line-up on Friday, July 29th at Cinema Center. The public can enjoy light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, as well as see film trailers for the upcoming festival, October 13-16, at Cinema Center. The full festival line-up will be announced in the main theater at 7 p.m., followed by additional trailers and a chance to see some of the committee’s favorite short films from previous years.

We’ll be talking about all things comics, film, and how the two correlate with Adam W. Tyma, associate professor of critical media studies and graduate program chair in the School of Communication at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
