Revisiting a classic film such as SUPERMAN gives us the opportunity to explore the history of superhero films, the themes they follow, and how they have shaped today’s films.

We’ll be talking about all things comics, film, and how the two correlate with Adam W. Tyma, associate professor of critical media studies and graduate program chair in the School of Communication at the University of Nebraska Omaha.

Logline: An alien orphan is sent from his dying planet to Earth, where he grows up to become his adoptive home's first and greatest superhero.
