‘It highlights the human aspect of the Palestinian struggle’: Cinema Center hosts Oscar shortlisted film ‘From Ground Zero’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Cinema Center hosted a screening of “From Ground Zero”, a collection of 22 Palestinian films Friday.

The films were made in Gaza by Palestinian filmmakers over the past year, shedding light on the Palestinian experience during the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.

The screening event is in partnership with the Indiana Center for Middle East Peace (ICMEP). “It’s heart rendering and heartbreaking,” said ICMEP board member, Ahmed Abdelmageed. “It’s an unfiltered view of the atrocities that took place and the damage its done to a people and infrastructure and a beautiful piece of land.”
