Development Director

Position Description
Cinema Center is looking for a part-time development director to help the organization realize its potential to fundraise by increasing membership, securing sponsorships, and elevating Cinema Center events and partnerships. The Development Director will work directly with the Executive Team to accomplish the duties outlined in this job description.
Duties
Research past Cinema Center donations, sponsorships, and memberships to identify potential relationships to restore
Assist in building fundraising campaigns
Coordinate sponsorships with Cinema Center team
Work with Hobnobben Team to increase fundraising potential
Work with Oscar Party Team to increase fundraising potential
Cultivate sponsorships
Increase memberships
Increase donations
Develop a plan and begin efforts to steward larger donors
Collaborate with Associate Director and Operations Manager on a communication plan
Monitor fundraising goals and data
Collaborate on grant applications and reports
Manage fundraising campaigns
Assist in maintaining relationships with members, donors, and sponsors
Manage donor and sponsor information
Work with the board on budgets and financial records
The position will continue to evolve based on interactions with the person in the position
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a related rield (with additional CFRM or CFRE preferred)
Experience working in development
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently
Experience with donor tracking software
Ability to work collaboratively
Commitment to the organization’s mission and values
Flexibility and adaptability
Experience with a strategic plan
Knowledge of event based fundraising
Experience with an annual fund
Ability to learn new technologies
Goals and Objectives for the Organization
Along with the Cinema Center Team, the Development Director will work toward short and long-term goals that will include working toward making this a full-time position, increased funding for updates to programming and facilities, and more.
Curator (Box Office), Cinema Center
Location: Fort Wayne Cinema Center, 437 E Berry Street Fort Wayne IN 46802
Hours: 5 - 15 hrs a week.
Position Responsibilities, Operations & Events:
Work the box office as needed Thursday through Sunday afternoons and evenings:
Opening & closing of facilities
Operate ticket counter
Operate concessions
Pop popcorn
Operate projector & playback systems
Schedule programming
Address or direct any member issues & questions during events
Must have or be able to get a license to serve alcohol
Watch movies and engage with members & patrons
Ingest digital content into projector systems
Create digital theatrical presentation playlists
Sanitation between patrons, between screenings, and before & after events
Assist in planning, execution, and breakdown of in-house and off-site events
Other responsibilities as assigned
Administrative
Answer phones and communicate with patrons and members during shift
Help identify immediate facilities needs
Communicate with the senior staff and Executive team as needed
