Money Has Four Legs

In this film from Myanmar, Wai Bhone, a young filmmaker, has to overcome tough realities to direct his debut film. The script is criticised, undermined, and censored by the authorities. There's constant pressure to raise money for the project, and even casting actors is not an easy task for the unknown director. With the help of friends and relatives, the film production finally begins. However, an accident occurs in which an expensive camera is dropped. To fix the broken camera and escape a difficult life, the novice director considers robbing a bank.

Filmmaker Maung Sun will be joining us LIVE from Paris for a post-film Q&A following the May 27th screening.
