No matter how much or how little time you want to spend with us, we have a pass for you. (But we hope you stay for the weekend!)
NOTE: After purchasing your passes, make sure to reserve your spot in the screening of your choice during the festival using Cinema Center’s online system.
Hobnobben is showcasing previews of our programming in the weeks leading up to the festival at Cinema Center, The Brass Rail, and Hop River Brewing. Come get a taste of what the film festival has to offer before October 11th - 13th.
Friday September 13, 6 - 9 p.m.
Mullets. Beer. Deliciously greasy bar food. What a perfect way to celebrate local film, right? Join Cinema Center and the Fort Wayne filmmakers behind American Mullet: The Legend of the Silver Fox for a special Hobnobben Film Festival Preview Party. Grab some finger food or Coors Light in the Spectator Lounge before the film starts at 7 p.m. The filmmakers will be available following the screening to answer your questions about their movie - or to talk about the ineffable appeal of the Mullet Man.
Saturday September 21, 7 - 9 p.m.
Join Cinema Center for a special Hobnobben Film Festival Preview Party at The Brass Rail. We will preview a quirky block of shorts featuring a family of vampires, a group of punk clowns rocking out, and some "ganjapreneurs" looking to break into a new industry. The films will screen throughout the evening, plus there will be a chance to purchase passes to the festival.
Saturday, September 28, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
From turn of the century white slavery pictures (The Girl Who Went Astray, 1900), to iconic rom-coms (Pretty Woman, 1990), to indie hits (Tangerine, 2015), hookers, hustlers, call girls, street walkers, strippers and dommes have been staples of the silver screen. Whores on Film explores these depictions of sex workers in cinema through the gaze of sex workers themselves. Watch this Hobnobben Film Festival selection at a special preview showing in the Spectator Lounge. A panel conversation with super smart, amazing people will follow.
Saturday, October 5, 6:30 - 9 p.m.
Onward Ever highlights the positive benefits of current riverfront development in Indiana. Watch this Hobnobben Film Festival selection at a special preview showing at Hop River Brewing. A panel conversation with city planners and industry experts to follow.
